Thank you to everyone who came out and supported me this Election Day. Together we'll continue the fight for local jobs, we will protect Social Security and Medicare, we will reauthorize the Violence Against Women Act and we will pass tax reform so we don't balance our budget on the backs of middle class and working families. Thank you all, and I can't wait to get back to work. -Louise
ROCHESTER, NY – This weekend, Louise Slaughter earned the endorsements of both the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle and the New York Times in her campaign for Congress. While the D&C focused on Slaughter’s “consistent effectiveness” as a representative, and mentioned her efforts on the STOCK Act and fixing body armor for our troops, the New York Times cited Louise’s record of bringing jobs and development to Monroe County as a determining factor in their endorsement.
Louise Slaughter knows we can't stop fighting for the middle class now more than ever. That's why she's helped local companies like Natcore take root here in Rochester, and why she's brought home resources for our research institutions to attract the jobs of the future: to rebuild the middle class and get our economy moving again.
